CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: EXHIBITION AT THE CABLE GALLERY IN 2012

Deadline for applications extended until June 30, 2011

The Cable Gallery is located at the Cable Factory in Helsinki and has been run by HIAP since October 2009. The exhibition space is bright with a surface area of 100sqm and a height of approx. 5m.

The rental period is four weeks (installation and dismantling time included) and the rent for the exhibition space is 1700€. For the artists-members of the member associations of HIAP such as MUU, KaaSu and Av-Arkki, the exhibition rent is 1600€. The Gallery does not charge commission on sales of artworks.

Included in the rent price are:
– electronic publicity (designing and posting of an e-invitation to the press and to the gallery’s contact list, announcement of the exhibition on the Cable Gallery’s and HIAP’s websites)
– editing, printing and translation, when necessary, of the information material to the exhibition in Finnish, Swedish and English
– designing, printing and partly distribution of the invitation cards
– basic hospitality during the opening
– supervision of the exhibition during the gallery’s opening hours

Please note that applications sent via e-mail will not be considered.
Application material, video and sound works can be sent in a CD/DVD onto which no labels must be attached. Electronic material should be compatible with both Mac and PC computers.
In case you wish to have your portfolio back, please include in your application a self-addressed envelope with full postage.
